SOUTHOVER OPEN GARDENS - DATE TBC
Southover Open Gardens is back for 2019 with lovely gardens to explore. The popular annual summer trail of secret gardens is hosted by Southover Bonfire Society, and is raising funds to buy some of the fireworks Lewes is famous for.
The gardens are open from 2.30pm-5pm (some are open until 6pm). Entry is by ticket only at £5 (concessions £3) and include a map of the trail. You can buy your tickets from May 19 at the Lewes Tourist Information Centre, St Pancras Stores, The Swan and The Gardeners Arms public houses. Tickets are also on sale on the day at 6 Grange Gardens.

The Newhaven Fish Festival has been part of Newhaven’s programme of events for 16 years. The annual event aims to celebrate the town’s history as a port and fishing community by bringing the community together to enjoy a range of free and low cost activities with fishy or coastal themes! An integral part of the festival is the Children’s Parade, which has the theme ‘Clean, Green, Marine’.
Discover displays and sales of locally caught fresh fish, community group stalls, displays by local artists, children’s activities and live entertainment throughout the day.
